Lourdes: first Order of Malta international pilgrimage since 2019
The clouds cleared over the basilica of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception in Lourdes as members, volunteers and malades came together in procession to make the Order’s traditional annual pilgrimage to the site of the miracle of Bernadette, the first since the pandemic. Thousands of pilgrims from Order organisations from around the world then took part in the International Mass, celebrated by the Order’s cardinal patronus, Cardinal Silvano Maria Tomasi.
