Activities in Scotland

In Elgin practical gardening tools have been donated to the Gardening Project launched by the Dominican Sisters of St Cecilia, who live in the Greyfriars Convent in Elgin. The Order of Friars Minor built Greyfriars in 1479, for living a Franciscan religious life and for charitable works in the Elgin community. After the Reformation, it became a partial ruin, rebuilt (1898) through the beneficence of the 3rd Marquess of Bute, John Crichton-Stuart. Since 2013, the sisters have resided here, focusing on the living of the religious life in the community.
